On Monday, May 2, 2016, President Benigno Aquino III made an early morning visit to the Iglesia ni Cristo Central compound and met with INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo.
The president conceded he made some "political appeals" to the executive minister, a couple days before the May 9 surveys.

President Aquino, on the otherhand, did not expound on his "appeals."
