The town mayor blamed for association in the illicit drug exchange is currently in the care of Philippine National Police (PNP) boss Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa.
Presidential representative Ernesto Abella affirmed Tuesday that Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. met a 24-hour due date that President Duterte issued for his surrender.
There are no different subtle elements on the surrender of Espinosa, who was blamed for "drug trafficking and indulging."
His son Kerwin was likewise labeled in the affirmation. He stays everywhere, as of posting time.
Duterte prior cautioned the leader and his son to surrender inside 24 hours or danger being shot.

This comes days after Espinosa's bodyguards were captured in a purchase bust operation in Barangay Benolho. Seized from the associates were around 237 grams with suspected shabu worth about P1.9 million.
Suspects were recognized as Jessie Ocarez, 34; and Marcelo Adorco, 40.
Additionally captured were Jose Antipuesto, 36; Ernesto Dumalat, 20; and Jeffrey Pesquera, 39.
