Ongachen and Grande were abducted in separate operations last May and June.

Ongachen, in a brief speech during the turnover, said they were treated well by the NPAs during their captivity.

"Wala mi nila dagmali. Gi-tratar mi nila og maayo (They did not torture us. Instead, they have treated us well)," Ongachen said.

Ongachen planned to take a leave first to have time with his family before he goes back to work.

Grande, for his part, thanked the NPA rebels for their treatment and he was looking forward to go back to work.

Exodus Justice for Peace convenor Jayme Jurie appreciated the NPA's observance of rules of war.

Jurie said he is optimistic that peace will soon be achieved through the ongoing peace process. AJRSP
