Writer Krizette Laureta Chu commented on the recent criticism on President Rodrigo Duterte on his comment on Vice President Leni Robredo's knees.

Duterte said that the Vice President's knees were flawless, he saw it when she wore a short skirt and that it caught his attention.

The comment was deemed "flirtatious" by some, but he said it was meant to "lighten the moment".


Laureta Chu in her Facebook page said that there was nothing wrong with Duterte's statement, but that the issue that's more important is the situation at Leyte.


"Mas mali na 76 billion pesos na ang nilabas ng gobyerno (kuno) at 4,000 bahay palang ang nagagawa sa Leyte." she wrote.


"Importante ang tuhod ni Robredo, pero mas importante ang kawalang hiyaan na ginawa sa, at paghihirap ng mga, kababayan natin sa Leyte. " she added.



She said as much as the comment was insulting, the corruption that was being done in the province where billions of funds was given after typhoon Yolanda struck, was of greater value.


"Elitista much? Paglaban ang sexism pero ang corruption na sanhi ng paghihirap ng mga kababayan nyo sa Leyte, deadma?Middle finger up," she wrote.
