Duterte headed to Catanduanes and Camarines Sur to give out aid to typhoon victims.
These provinces were some of the most affected by Nina since its landfall on Christmas day.
Robredo meanwhile has earned criticisms for her trip, as she defends herself by saying that the trip has been planned for a year and that she cannot stay in Naga because Christmas is painful without her husband, Jesse.
Her spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez, has confirmed that she is indeed out of the country for a family reunion but is in constant communication with her office on how to help typhoon victims.
