Romulo Macalintal, Vice President Leni Robredo's lawyer representing her for the electoral protest filed by Bongbong Marcos, challenged the Marcos camp that should the 13 SD cards presented as evidence be unable to prove massive fraud, the prosecution should withdraw their protest.
Chong said that proving massive fraud in the elections is not possible with only 13 SD cards which would only amount to 6500 ballots from a total of 45 million ballots used in the May elections.
Chong said that what the VP's team cannot deny is the fact that these SD cards were in fact manipulated.
He also said that these SD cards are in the possession of the Commission on Elections and can therefore be altered anytime since the boxes are merely sealed by a packing tape.
He said the reason why Macalintal is so confident is because he is in cintrol of the syndicates manipulating the cards.
Nakalatag na ang kanyang patibong," he said.
Chong said that Marcos' issue is with the questionavble integrity of the Automated Election System, and since these machine's brain is the SD cards, evidence of tampering in the SD cards would make the entire system questionable.
